從觀眾的參展的出發(fā)點分析，大部分觀眾看展目的有三點：長見識、學知識、放松身心，少部分從事研究工作的觀眾是為了搜集學術(shù)資料。根據(jù)觀眾需求可以得出，主題博物館的整體設(shè)計必須有料(滿足求知需求)、有趣(滿足求樂心理)，而且視覺效果符合大眾審美，環(huán)境效果閑適怡人，這些主要從內(nèi)容選材、展項搭配、空間布局、燈光設(shè)計四個方面做關(guān)聯(lián)性規(guī)劃。

以人類遺址主題的考古博物館為例，可以選取原始人部落生活、狩獵場景，通過幻影成像、VR虛擬現(xiàn)實、5D影院等多媒體展項，營造身臨其境的動態(tài)視覺效果;通過“互動穿衣魔鏡”，自動識別觀眾性別，男性觀眾站在魔鏡前，就能化身頭插羽毛、頸掛墜飾、手握權(quán)杖的“大王”，女性觀眾則變身“王后”。不僅能提升參觀趣味，還能幫助觀眾更好地了解原始人部落服飾特征、階級劃分依據(jù)、野外生存小知識等信息。
